Lecture: Ruptured Dances, Ruptured Politics (July 4, 2021)
Munich-based CHAKKARs-Moving Interventions invited Hari Krishnan to present a guest lecture, "Ruptured Dances, Ruptured Politics" The presentation focuses on the socio-political and aesthetic representations in Hari Krishnan's creative and scholarly trajectory, through video and lecture.
It was a thoroughly soul satisfying experience for Hari as he shared his work with a progressive/kindred community of international artists and scholars.
They constructively discussed critical issues connected with substantive art making, by productively employing activism, dance history and alternate aesthetic representations.
-So enjoyed Hari Krishnan's insights this morning through Sandra's Chakkars series at: Ruptured Dances, Ruptured Politics. Great to see such rigor, humor, ethics and theatricality combined!

-Such a joy to witness the depth and breadth of Hari Krishnan's work. Such thorough attention to radical aesthetics and politics that speak to multilayered histories and experiences. Very inspiring! Thank you for organizing Sandra Babli

-Such a gift to engage with Hari Krishnan's fierce, generous, and uncompromising artistic practice this weekend. His workshop wove together embodied knowledge from a lineage of hereditary courtesan artists with creative approaches to gesture -- literal, metaphorical, and abstract -- and his lecture showed such an array of nuanced, queer, satirical, hilarious, courageous, intimate, intelligent choreographic interventions. Feeling blessed and inspired. Thank you Sandra Babli for organizing this under the auspices of CHAKKARs - Moving Interventions
