Love Songs (2024)

Love Songs is a performance and interactive lecture-demonstration that explores poetic and progressive ways of embodying love, sexuality, and eroticism in Bharatanatyam dance.

Premiere: October 25, 2024 at International House as part of inDANCE’s 2024-25 Don Michael Randel Ensemble-in-Residence at the University of Chicago

The first version of Love Songs was developed on March 31, 2024 as part of a symposium- Love Songs of South India: Spirit and Sensuality in the Tamil Kirtana and Padam, at the Henry R. Luce Hall, Yale University (New Haven, USA)
